I’ve been out of the loop lately, but it sounds like Tobin made sure Christen’s dream of playing for Angel City would happen by agreeing to the deal that Racing Louisville would retain her rights for another year. (Although I doubt she had a choice.)
So that’s why she’s looking to play a season in Europe for 2022 then maybe come back to the NWSL when Racing Louisville won’t be protected from Angel City? And Angel City could snap her up then…
Pls just let them play on the same club team. Everyone else on the national team gets that perk, choosing to go where their SO’s are, but Tobin and Christen never have.
I’m so happy for Christen. I honestly never thought it would happen with Alex in competition with her. CP23 deserves it all and more. Here’s to my new fav team with Angel City!!!!
